During the budget message communications summit series held in 2013, many city officials asked for a day-lng summit to be developed on city budgets. Based on that input, the upcoming Best Budget Practices summit will review: - what revenues cities can use and what is changing in those sources; - how the legislature is viewing current revenue sources; - budget design and budget styles; - when most cities begin their budget planning; - what is included in the budget planning calendar; and - best budgeting practices.
