IEMO I June 2026

The Florida League of Cities is proud to bring you the Institute for Elected Municipal Officials I (IEMO I) on June 5-6, 2026 at the Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel, located at 2000 NW 19th Street, Boca Raton, FL.

What is IEMO? 

 Created in 1992, the Institute for Elected Municipal Officials (IEMO) program is a comprehensive educational initiative designed to equip municipal elected officials with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to govern their municipalities effectively. The program includes three levels: IEMO I, IEMO II, and FLC Leadership.

About IEMO I:

IEMO I is specially designed for newly elected officials and those with less than one term in office. Please see the agenda below for workshop descriptions. IEMO I is a two-day program structured in a Friday through Saturday format and is offered three times per year at different locations throughout the state. For class content, please see the agenda below.

Hotel Information:

Reservations can be made HERE and must be completed by Thursday, May 14. The room rate is $156.00 per night, plus tax. Self-parking and resort fees have been waived. A credit card is required to guarantee reservations and cancellations must be received at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid one night’s room charge.

Cancellations:

Cancellation requests must be received and confirmed in writing by 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2026 to be eligible for a refund. A $50.00 administrative fee will be applied to all cancellations. Substitutions are accepted and encouraged. Refunds will be processed after the program. The FLC reserves the right to cancel the IEMO training. If the training is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded in full.
