FLC 2022 Legislative Conference

Register today for the 2022 Florida League of Cities Legislative Conference.
The event will be held November 30-December 2, 2022 at the Embassy Suites Orlando - Lake Buena Vista South.

Florida League of Cities President Jolien Caraballo, vice mayor of the City of Port St. Lucie, will preside over the conference where she will rally the membership in support of the League’s 2023 Legislative Action Agenda.

You are essential to the League’s legislative success. Join Florida's city leaders to discuss and learn about important issues, finalize and adopt our legislative priorities, and share ideas and strategies on collaborating with state legislators and finding common ground.

The registration fee for this event is $275 and covers admission to all conference sessions, continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks and Thursday’s luncheon and networking event.

Florida League of Mayors Forum – Managing Social Media: An Interactive Workshop for Florida’s Mayors
This seminar is for everyone from keyboard warriors to those who aren’t quite sure if Tik-Tok is a social media platform or a new type of wristwatch. In this multi-hour workshop you will hear from and interact with several leading experts who will share insights that will help you navigate the challenging – and ever-changing – world of social media.  From best management practices to do’s and don’ts, to real-life examples, our speakers will help you gain a better understanding of how to develop workable and sustainable policies for dealing with the unforgiving and unrelenting world of social media.

With a low supply and high demand, Florida’s in the middle of a housing crisis, but what are the solutions? Join our practitioners and industry leaders to learn how they are spearheading efforts to address housing issues and not just in the traditional way, but rather strategically and with a regional collaborative approach. Using concrete examples from communities across the state, this workshop will touch on an array of topics including planning, land development and utilizing ARPA funds for housing.

Hotel Information
The 2022 Legislative Conference will be held at the Embassy Suites Orlando - Lake Buena Vista South, located at 4955 Kyngs Heath Road in Kissimmee. The group rate is $157/night and all reservations include a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast and complimentary reception. Self-parking is $13.00/day. Complete reservation instructions will be sent with your registration confirmation. If the hotel is sold out at the time of your registration, please contact Melanie Howe for a list of alternative suggestions.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be emailed to Melanie Howe by 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 18 to receive a refund of registration fees, minus a $25 administrative fee. Refunds will not be issued until after the conference and no refunds will be issued for early departure.
