Social Media Training Day
Join us for Social Media Training Day at the FLC University Orlando Training Center! These three courses have been designed with all elected officials and all employees of our member municipalities in mind. We hope that you will take advantage of this FREE opportunity to join us for a day of training on a variety of topics, from policy and best practices, to ethical considerations in the use of Social Media. You can drop in for any one of the courses throughout the day, or register for all three, below! Lunch will be provided between 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you!

"Share," "Like," "Friend," "Tweet" and "Retweet." Social media has changed our use of familiar words and introduced new terms into our vocabulary. This overview of contemporary social media platforms and practices will help us examine our personal and public service usage of social media. We will provide practical advice on why you want to be engaged on social media and how to avoid some of the common pitfalls both as participants and as consumers.

We will examine the do's and don'ts of internal and external social media policy, explore the comment conundrum, and discuss tools that make archiving and responding to public records requests easier.
