RSVP - FLC 2021 VIRTUAL Legislative Action Week

RSVP Today for FLC's 2021 Virtual Legislative Action Week!

With concerns about COVID-19 making it impossible to hold our usual in-person Legislative Action Days and visits to the state capitol, the Florida League of Cities has planned an active week of virtual events to help keep you engaged with your legislators and colleagues during this important legislative session.

Legislative Action events will take place using various online platforms (Zoom, GoToWebinar, etc.) In order to participate, you must RSVP by March 8. Once you've done so, you'll receive an email in early March containing specific links to the platforms to register for each individual event.

Following is the tentative schedule of events* for the week. There will be a
live event each day, including updates on legislative priorities, a welcome to newly elected officials, networking opportunities, and appearances and comments from FLC President Tony Ortiz.

9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Legislative Briefing (GoToWebinar)

Hear from the FLC lobbying team on major bills that are moving and what messages to share with your legislators.

Welcome for Newly Elected Municipal Officials and Staff (Zoom)

This event will also include a welcome from First Vice President Phillip Walker, and a special advocacy training from Scott Dudley and Allison Payne with the League’s new Field Advocacy & Federal Affairs Department. FLC Ambassadors Shwanda Barnette and Eryn Russell invite newly elected officials and staff, or anyone looking for a refresher on the benefits of League membership, to attend the Virtual Welcome.
