FLC University - Modes and Methods of Public Communication

A core function of municipal governments is communication. Cities must communicate with a range of audiences (residents, customers, businesses, visiotrs and employees, among others) on a highly varied array of topics. The task is so enormous that we can feel overwhelmed...or we can miss important pieces of the overall communication puzzle because we are too focused on others. In this workshop, we'll examine the various channels through which we communicate and best practices both for selecting the right channel(s) and sending the most effective message.
